Mobile accessibility course, 17 June

Mobile accessibility specialist, Jon Gibbins, will be delivering a half-day training course on “Accessibility Testing on Mobile Devices” at Simple Usability in Leeds on Tuesday, 17 June, from 9am to 1pm.

The course will introduce testing standards for mobile platforms, explore the current limitations of using Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to measure mobile accessibility, and give some additional testing tips on iOS and Android platforms. It will round off with a discussion and ideas on UX personas to bring test results to life.

Who is the course suitable for?

The course is open to individuals from any type of organisation.

Attendees will gain knowledge of the tests that affect mobile technology and the additional considerations separating this from standard desktop testing, and learn some helpful tips, such as how to take screenshots to demonstrate issues.

This course will not go into detailed code solutions, but basic HTML knowledge would be advantageous.
